The second super tug is in port, containment measures have been taken to seal off the Pasha Bulker to mitigate any risk of a fuel or oil leak. There is no rush to get the Pasha Bulka out as they plan for a safe removal. The team of world class experts is assessing the situation.
A 20 year old man has been one of the first to be charged with looting offences. Feel free to call local police with any information that may help them track down these mongrels.
A mighty job has been done by the SES to reopen roads, patch roofs & other essential clean up duties.
NRMA has announced it will honour all cars insured with them and damaged via the storm. Many cars have been written off with tow truck business being unable to cope with calls. The newcastle streets are still littered with abandoned vehicles.
