News Digital Media’s mobile content manager Rick Gleave said an advertising business model will help.
“We have three (news and sport) brands that we are planning to launch (on the mobile internet),” he said. “Consumers are ripe to be targeted. We give that content away for free, get as many consumers as possible experiencing that brand without the burden or barrier of a (content subscription) fee and fund it via mobile advertising.”
