Another part of this clients project & strategy brief for the 2009 125th OneSteel Waratah Anniversary was to come up with ideas to encourage the rural community & distributor network to become involved & engage with the brand.
To give them the opportunity to participate (as they are part of the story) & to share some of their experiences.
Inspired from a trip the Power House Museum & some quality client discussion/input, we suggested a photo sharing style competition along the lines of what the Power House had recently done with it’s photo collection.
The result was a Flick Photo Competition with weekly prizes which received hundred of entires and was deemed a great success, a creative marketing campaign for an innovative steel products company.
The mechanic was a 125th Anniversary themed landing page template in their CMS which featured a hero gallery of top submissions & winning photos.
Some of the imagery is stunning & the rural support was quite remarkable.
